John, who owns Rock Men's Salon, and Tom opened Wired Co as a pop-up beside the salon in 2012, under the mantra "educate, not patronise". Cable Co followed in 2014 opposite Kensal Rise overground station.
The second cafe opened in November 2019 at the Aircraft Factory in Hammersmith, taking over Origin Coffee's West London outpost. In 2021 it was runner-up for Best Takeaway Coffee.
