Seventeen Danish espresso bars across London, founded by a Goldman Sachs banker.

Tim Schroeder opened the first bar in 2017 and has since taken the brand to Amsterdam, its first shop outside London. Each bar draws on a different aspect of Danish culture, and the logo borrows from traditional Danish street signs. Single-origin coffee includes lots from Eastern Nepal.

At this shop

Set into a railway arch in Borough Yards, the shop faces the covered walkway behind a backlit HAGEN sign. Inside, three framed forest-landscape paintings line one wall above a checkerboard marble floor, and stools at a brass counter face the window.
