It began as an extension of the WACup coffee shop and takes its name from the Arabic word for cup. Founders Dragoslav Džudović and Saud Al Nuaimi opened the first UK branch in Belgravia in March 2024.
The shop is a narrow cream room behind a Georgian shopfront on Elizabeth Street, with a long counter running most of its length. Arched recesses on the right hold a brass dallah and small cups, and a few seats sit outside.
