Seven shops from Hackney Road to St Albans, with a lino-printed walking mascot.

Nancy and Emile were living above a small empty unit on Hackney Road when they turned it into a shop in late 2015, named after the Nkora washing station in Rwanda. Plot Roasting supplies the coffee, with guest roasters on rotation.

Cambridge Heath followed in 2017 and St Albans in 2018.

At this shop

The shop occupies the splayed corner of a former pub at Cambridge Heath Road and Bishops Way, with an 1888 datestone set above the arched corner window. Inside, a wood-slatted counter follows the angled front wall against exposed brick, and a narrow window ledge with four stools looks out over the junction.
