Coffee professionals who had launched more than a hundred cafés founded SEND in 2020 to train young adults with disabilities aged 18 to 25. Each cohort follows a two-year course to SCA standards, beginning at a training space in Camden.
Trainees then move into one of three working cafés, in Stratford, the City and Fitzrovia. SEND pays the London Living Wage, and customers who order in British Sign Language get a free coffee.
