Sprudge profiles Scenery Coffee's on-site roastery on Union Street.
Scenery Coffee roasts light on a Loring S35 from its Union Street café, attached to the Jerwood Space performing arts complex. A Mavam undercounter espresso machine and Poursteady autobrew system serve six to seven rotating filter coffees. All furniture is upcycled, and artist Lucas Garcia creates custom illustrations for each coffee. Scenery won Best Design/Packaging at the 16th Annual Sprudgie Awards.
