Stu, Ross and Alex, who have 30 years of specialty coffee between them, roast on a Loring S35 and contract coffees at harvest about six months ahead. Artist Lucas Garcia illustrates each release.
The café runs through several linked rooms of the Jerwood Space on Union Street, a former Victorian school. A glass-roofed corridor opens onto a paved courtyard, and the counter sits in a taller room under a skylight and exposed steel trusses.
