Nairobi's Spring Valley Coffee opens first UK shop on Camden Passage.
Spring Valley Coffee Roasters, established in Nairobi in 2009 with nine cafés across Kenya, chose Islington's Camden Passage for its first international location. The shop runs a La Marzocco Strada with a Swan grinder, serving beans roasted at origin in Nairobi. Spring Valley traces its roots to one of Kenya's first coffee estates, planted in 1905 on the outskirts of the capital.
