Tereza and Jon met working at a small coffee roastery in London. Tereza had trained as a barista and volunteered on a Brazilian coffee farm; Jon discovered specialty coffee in Sweden at a coffee equipment store. In early 2016 they purchased a second-hand roaster and started Curve in the back of a Margate cafe.
They added cafe premises about a year later. The team of 15 now operates from Copperleaf Business Park in Broadstairs alongside a cafe at The Centre Margate.
