Melbourne-born founder's Fitzrovia cafe, Cafe Society Awards runner-up three years running.

Peter Dore-Smith moved to London with his wife in 2005 and spent hours watching baristas at Flat White in Soho. After four years at Lord's Cricket Ground, he opened on Great Titchfield Street in August 2009.

Square Mile's Red Brick has been the house blend since the first day. A second, larger cafe followed on Eastcastle Street in March 2015.

At this shop

On Great Titchfield Street, the counter runs along a wall of bare brick, and high stools at a window bar face the street. Further back the walls turn black-panelled under a yellow neon sign, and wooden benches line the pavement outside.
