Melbourne-born founder's Fitzrovia cafe, Cafe Society Awards runner-up three years running.

Peter Dore-Smith moved to London with his wife in 2005 and spent hours watching baristas at Flat White in Soho. After four years at Lord's Cricket Ground, he opened on Great Titchfield Street in August 2009.

Square Mile's Red Brick has been the house blend since the first day. A second, larger cafe followed on Eastcastle Street in March 2015.

At this shop

On Eastcastle Street, two wooden benches sit out on the pavement under a black canvas awning. Inside, a neon yellow Kaffeine sign glows against black-painted walls above the pastry counter, with white subway tile lining the rest of the room. Wooden tables with a concrete panel set into each top run along the opposite wall.
