Victoria and Grace Sheppard opened on Queen Street in September 2020, after Covid delayed the March launch. Victoria had worked at UMU, The Greenhouse and Fortnum & Mason, making the 30 under 30 list in 2019, while Grace brought interior design experience from Chartwell. They became the first cafe to partner with Difference Coffee, roasting Brazilian Daterra espresso exclusively for Queens alongside a washed Geisha from Hacienda La Esmeralda's Leon 3 micro-lot.
The Georgian shopfront sits behind iron railings, with one table outside. Inside, a fluted teal counter runs the length of the room to a stained-glass window at the back.
