London roastery started in a garden shed, co-founder raised on Colombian farms.

Ricardo Rendon and Neil Coyle moved from the shed in Homerton to Queens Yard in Hackney Wick, where each small batch was roasted without automation and each bag stamped and dated by hand. Neil, a barista trainer, honed his roasting in Guatemala.

The roastery and café on Hornsey Road opened before Christmas 2020. A second espresso bar is at Hackney Bridge.

At this shop

On Hornsey Road, opposite a row of Victorian terraces, a red roaster stands behind the counter in full view of the glass shopfront. Exposed brick runs the length of the counter, and a wood-topped bar with stools faces the street.

Roasting Shed roasts its own beans. These are from its wider range, so not all may be served at this shop.
