Bethnal Green roastery supplying Claridge's and wholesale clients in 30 countries.

James Dickson opened the first café in a converted Victorian textile factory in Clerkenwell in 2011, then closed it in 2017 to focus on coffee quality and wholesale. Beans come from fourteen countries, including Gitesi Washing Station in Rwanda, bought from since 2013, and Finca Progreso in Peru, bought from since 2018.

Workshop won Best Independent Coffee Shop in Europe at the 2013 European Coffee Awards. Its wholesale clients include Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and The Conran Shop.

At this shop

The café fills the ground floor of a red-brick corner building on Eccleston Street in Belgravia, with arched green-framed windows and pavement tables under green awnings. Inside, a walnut and marble counter runs beside a wall of glazed terracotta tiles.
