Jerome Dwyer, an Australian, opened the cafe at the Hammersmith Flyover end of Fulham Palace Road, taking cues from Melbourne's laneways and Bondi beach. Square Mile's Red Brick runs through the Nuova Simonelli Aurelia, while pour-overs rotate between Square Mile and Nude, with guest roasters from Nomad in Spain and Coffee Collective in Denmark.
A pale pink shopfront with one pavement table opens onto a long, narrow room, where a stainless steel counter runs down one side under a wall map of Australia and Oceania. By night the room becomes a wine bar.
