The 12kg Diedrich began roasting soon after Alex Gkikas soft-launched in late 2016 and opened officially in January 2017, on the corner of Grays Inn Road and Baldwin's Gardens. He served Swedish roaster Koppi's beans before then. They serve single origins only, usually four rotating Ethiopian coffees, with direct trade lots from Finca La Lomita in Colombia and Taiwanese Geisha producers.
Glass panels in the floor at the front look down on the roaster in the basement. The shop above is a single square room under a dark green ceiling, glazed full height on both street sides, with benches out on the corner pavement.
