Gwilym Davies made his name at a market coffee cart before opening on Leather Lane in 2011 with co-owner Jeremy Challender, who won the 2016 UK Brewers Cup representing Prufrock. Square Mile supplies the main coffee, with Tim Wendelboe, La Cabra and Coffee Collective among the guests.
The counter curves along the right side of one long, narrow room, faced in bottle-green tile under exposed silver ducting. Shelves of books and plants sit above it, and tables stand on the pavement either side of the door.
