Social enterprise cafe where every coffee funds a child's meal.

Regenerate took young people from London estates to volunteer in Kenya, where one said he wanted to help others but doubted anyone would hire him. The charity answered in 2014 with The Feel Good Bakery, delivering sandwiches across London, and its bakers became baristas in July 2020.

Mobile carts grew into a flagship outside Southfields station in 2024 and a van at Battersea Power Station. Regenerate trains and employs 16-25 year olds out of education or work, and over 78,000 meals have gone to partner projects.

At this shop

The van sits under Grosvenor Bridge on the riverside walk at Battersea Power Station, looking out across the Thames to the Nine Elms skyline. A lit "But first coffee" sign glows in its windscreen, and coffee, tea and pastries pass out through a fold-out hatch on the side. There's no seating, and customers queue on the path outside.
