Three Japanese-inspired London cafes, 2024 Sprudgie Award finalist for Best New Cafe.

The name means flow in Japanese, a philosophy taken from Bruce Lee's "Be water, my friend", and co-founder Dora Lau still works the counter. The first shop opened opposite Spitalfields Market in January 2023, with Carnaby next and a flagship at Triptych Bankside third.

Guest roasters rotate, including Market Lane from Melbourne and Weekenders from Kyoto, and filter coffees come with tasting cards.

At this shop

On the corner of Gun Street and Brushfield Street, painted 'Verde & Co Ltd' lettering survives across the Victorian frontage, with a bench on the pavement. Inside, a wood-panelled counter runs along the back wall, and antique octagonal tables sit around a period fireplace at the front.
