Three Japanese-inspired London cafes, 2024 Sprudgie Award finalist for Best New Cafe.

The name means flow in Japanese, a philosophy taken from Bruce Lee's "Be water, my friend", and co-founder Dora Lau still works the counter. The first shop opened opposite Spitalfields Market in January 2023, with Carnaby next and a flagship at Triptych Bankside third.

Guest roasters rotate, including Market Lane from Melbourne and Weekenders from Kyoto, and filter coffees come with tasting cards.

At this shop

On Newburgh Street in Carnaby, a line of stencilled text about water flowing like a river runs across the shopfront glass, above two wooden benches on the pavement. Inside, one narrow room runs back from the door under white-painted ductwork, with the counter along one side.
