Alina Falconer trained as a graphic designer in Berlin before working at Roka, Zuma, Flesh & Buns, and Shackfuyu. She and Joel Falconer, who ran the Busaba and Ibérica restaurant groups, took over the cafe in January 2019 after a decade living in Ladywell. Espresso, filter, cold brew, and nitro run alongside beans from rotating roasters. In March 2024 they opened Wilson's restaurant opposite, adding Plenty wholefood store next door.
A red door at the back opens onto a walled courtyard, where a face sculpture made from scrap metal hangs on a coral-painted wall under climbing plants. Inside, tables run along the front window onto Ladywell Road.
