Darren Chester ran a London coffee shop, then moved to Italy to restore villas, before opening here with Marco Pessina in 2014. Climpson & Sons supplies the coffee.
A black-painted Victorian shopfront on St Paul's Road opens into a narrow ground-floor room, with bistro tables out on the pavement. Reclaimed panelled joinery lines the back wall, and stairs lead down to basement seating in the former coal holes.
