Anthony was Head of Coffee at The Gentlemen Baristas, where he met Tom, a chef who had worked under Tom Aikens and Tom Adams. They opened on Windmill Street in Fitzrovia and moved to Brockley during the pandemic. Caravan's Market Blend runs through the espresso machine, with a natural Rwandan Shyira from Chipp Coffee Co on V60.
The shop is a white-painted corner unit on Mantle Road, with tables on the pavement under full-height windows. Inside, one room holds the bar against a distressed plaster wall, and a dining area around an exposed pillar.
