Natasha Sayliss, who ran Mae + Harvey on Roman Road for nine years, and Florence Creffield, chef at Bonnington Cafe in Vauxhall since 2015, opened in May 2025. Menus follow the farm's food growing team, with quince syrup soda and chips with confit garlic aioli.
The café is a board-clad timber building in the yard of Stepney City Farm, off Stepney Way, with the farm's name spelled across its wall in large black letters. Picnic tables stand on paving and bark chip in front, and a covered lean-to with bunting runs along one side, among raised herb planters and a plant stall.
