Run by the Royal Foundation of St Katharine as a social enterprise, the café won Time Out's Best Cafe award for Poplar, Shadwell and Wapping in 2016.
The café is a canvas-walled yurt with a peaked, vented roof, its timber crown-wheel and rafters exposed as the ceiling inside a single circular room. Espresso is made at a counter along the back wall, and picnic benches with gas patio heaters line a gravel path outside.
