London cafe group with its own roastery, UK's first home-compostable coffee pods.

Kaz James of the Bodyrockers and David Abrahamovitch turned David's father's old mobile phone store in Shoreditch into the first Grind in 2011. It ran as a cafe by day and a cocktail bar by night, with a recording studio upstairs.

The Shoreditch roastery followed in 2016, and by 2021 the group ran fourteen London locations.

At this shop

Set into a red brick and stone archway in Waterloo station's Victorian concourse, the shopfront opens straight onto the arcade rather than a street. Inside, a pink neon sign reading 'London calling to the faraway towns' hangs above a bar backed by exposed brick.
