London cafe group with its own roastery, UK's first home-compostable coffee pods.

Kaz James of the Bodyrockers and David Abrahamovitch turned David's father's old mobile phone store in Shoreditch into the first Grind in 2011. It ran as a cafe by day and a cocktail bar by night, with a recording studio upstairs.

The Shoreditch roastery followed in 2016, and by 2021 the group ran fourteen London locations.

At this shop

The Grind counter stands inside the Market Halls food hall on North Colonnade in Canary Wharf, beside a tall arched shelf unit of pale timber and perforated metal. Floor-to-ceiling glass behind the shelves looks out at the surrounding office towers.
