London cafe group with its own roastery, UK's first home-compostable coffee pods.

Kaz James of the Bodyrockers and David Abrahamovitch turned David's father's old mobile phone store in Shoreditch into the first Grind in 2011. It ran as a cafe by day and a cocktail bar by night, with a recording studio upstairs.

The Shoreditch roastery followed in 2016, and by 2021 the group ran fourteen London locations.

At this shop

The shop takes up a classical yellow-brick building at 2 London Bridge, entered through a white pedimented doorway up a flight of granite steps. Inside, one long room of exposed brick runs beside a marble bar, lit by tall sash windows onto the street.
